MoBI Award 2026

About

The Brain Products MoBI Award is a biennially presented award and recognizes excellence in the field of Mobile Brain/Body Imaging (MoBI) research. Our aim is to benefit the MoBI community and to motivate scientists who bring EEG out of the lab and into the “real world”.

In 2026 the MoBI Award will be presented for the 6th time. Winners will be announced and honored at the International Mobile Brain/Body Imaging Conference 2026 (in Berlin, Germany | August 26 – 28, 2026). The 1st prize winner, will also have the opportunity to give a talk on their research during a dedicated session at the conference.

Terms & Conditions

Accepted Submissions & Criteria

  • Only MoBI papers published (or accepted for publication)  after January 1, 2023  may be submitted.

  • MoBI papers submitted for previous editions of the MoBI Award cannot be submitted again.

  • The paper must be  experimental  in nature and utilize  EEG methodology  (i.e., no theoretical or opinion/review paper).

  • Only  first authors  may submit a paper and the CV of the first author has to be included. The submitter will receive the prize.

  • Only  one submission  per person will be accepted.

  • In case of winning the 1st prize, the submitter (or a co-author) must be available to  present their research  at the MoBI Conference 2026.

Contributions from the following  MoBI research fields  will be accepted, for example:

  • MoBI in sports

  • MoBI in neuroadaptive technology

  • MoBI in human factors, neuroergonomics, and neuroaesthetics

  • MoBI in rehabilitation

  • MoBI in classic experimental paradigms outside the lab

  • MoBI in social or educational psychology

An independent jury consisting of experts in the MoBI field will judge the projects. Judgement will be based on scientific quality, innovation/impact, and match for mobile EEG and the MoBI field.
